Hello!! Wow – time is already going fast! Have little things to tell you about. First – the best thing ever happened last night – Alexis ate and enjoyed eating salmon!!! YAY! As many of you know I am obsessed with eating salmon. Raw though – no – Alexis’ was cooked. But it is a start to her journey towards sushi someday! Hehehe!
A Paris street funny…so we’re walking down the Champs Elysees (which is a very popular and fancy street) and we were waiting to cross over a side road. A foul smell came about and everyone was covering their noses. I turned my head to the left and there was a homeless man, with his pants and underwear down to his ankles – butt covered in poop. Oh so gross! He was just walking up the street like that. Ronnie almost puked – so funny!
It is an interesting time of the year here. The shops are all only allowed to have “sales” on items 2 times per year. So for 1 month, 2x a year they have these huge sales – stuff up to 60 percent off! All the shops are crazy right now – the people are like mad bees attacking all the items. So interesting to experience - Yes, I too have become a bee myself and got some great clothes. Can’t resist!
Oh, Melissa – forgot to mention our baby sitter’s name is Melissa too! Cool eh? What are the odds! J
Alexis – she is still fun and crazy! She actually was whistling the other day – I could not believe it! She doesn’t do it much now, but it was so cool! She loves the neighborhood and is getting her “Cui, cui” and “bella, bella” comments again from people. We started a new thing for nap and bedtime where we just lay her down in the crib and she is going to sleep now without us having to hold her! YAY!!!! It was a difficult bad habit to break, but I think we finally got it down! She is also eating very well now too – much bigger appetite!
We are all finally healthy – YAY!!! Life here is great. Only bummer is still the weather – I can take cold, but here it is also raining every day with winds up to 20 miles per hour. It is so hard to take Alexis out. We still go sometimes when the wind is not so bad. There is so much more we could do during the day if the weather changed, so we are anxiously awaiting better weather. Since we have been here we saw the sun for 1 hour one morning. Dreary!
Please keep Ronnie in your prayers - as work once again is getting to him with the stress. He has a very difficult job and I can’t imagine the stress he is going through. Thank you for prayers.
We are so excited – we booked our tickets for Valentine’s night to go see “Le Roi Lion” dance/musical AKA Disney’s “The Lion in King” in French. It just came here to Paris in Jan. We’ll let you know how it is!
Oh – our Vonage phone is temporarily disconnected (has been for 4 days now). Ronnie fried the plug by plugging it in wrong, so we are waiting for a new one. We have no way of charging the phone and it is dead. So sorry no calls, I will let you know when it is up again.
I am all caught up with the photo galleries! I added more to Week 26. New galleries are Weeks: 27, 28, 29, 30, and “Holidays - Back Home in Texas”. Hope you enjoy! Lots of love – Us3 in Pari
