We are all doing well! There’s nothing much new here. We put up some photos for Week 31.We went to a few churches and museums.
We saw Napoleon’s uniform and his tomb in this one church. The museum we went to was a WWI and WWII museum. Very interesting stuff there for sure! It is so sad the things of war. Scary to think it really was not that long ago and how easily it can happen again.
I think Alexis is working on riding every carousel in Paris. She has now ridden five different ones. Pretty much every one we bump into! She is so funny when she sees them – eyes wide, mouth in an “O” position, pointing! Fun times for sure!
Day by day we are learning just how expensive it is to live here. Everything from Ronnie’s $12 (12 ounce) coke with LOTS of ice in the glass (no refills) to each of us having one beer and it was $30. Yes, we had extreme sticker shock when those bills came. We also loved the sushi place we got up and walked out of when they wanted $6 per piece of salmon sushi. Normally at home you get 2 pieces for $4. Oh or last night we each got a bottle of Heineken beer - $12 each bottle. All that fun does not include the final bill when we get home for our babysitter who is $15 per hour. Ahh yes, the Paris life…draining our finances away! We have learned the hard way on where and where not to go that’s for sure!
We are ready to come home for sure. Can’t wait for a Tom Thumb and a trunk to carry groceries in!We love you guys – enjoy the photos!
