HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY GAGE!!! Happy 11 months to Alexis! Man oh man they are growing fast just as everyone told us they would!
I posted up some more photos of us at the park. I finally remembered to take my camera. We went late so Ronnie could meet us there to take photos, so it was the slow time. She loves trying to walk and as you can tell by the photos, that horse thing. More Alexis updates, yesterday she was standing holding onto a small table. She let go with one hand, then the other and looked back at me. She stood there with no hands for like 30 sec! YAY! Also she drank out of a straw today for the first time. Her face was cute when she figured it out.
An interesting French thing that I have noticed is that instead of my peeps - (Hispanic/Mexican) people doing most of the nanny and housekeeping jobs (in America), they are black here. At first I was so confused when I saw many black women at the park or walking around with white children. Then I figured it out - oh they are the nannies! Yes, I am slow.
At our apartment we get it cleaned on every Friday. This time a lady in her 50's came to clean. I felt awful having her clean our place. For those of you who don't know I am usually against housekeepers - always have had a thing on that. So I asked her to not do the top floor, she did it anyways. Anyhow, I was playing a Children's Bible CD for Alexis and she noticed some of the songs. She only spoke French - but she pointed to the music and said "Jesus!" with a huge smile. I nodded yes and pointed up, then to my heart. She smiled, and then went on and on about something - pointing to her tummy and pointing up and sat there and praised Jesus in French. It was just a beautiful experience. Then at one point another song came on, she stopped and sang in French and raised her hands in the air and kept praising Jesus. It was just a great blessing to have her in our place. She was so sweet.
Speaking of we have a few prayer requests: I miss church dearly and I pray we find one in Munich. I also pray we find some sort of playgroup for Alexis. I feel like she gets so bored in the house and just with me. It's been raining a lot here and been chilly, so we can't always go outdoors. Also please pray for Ronnie and his work. It is getting stressful, especially with him leaving for Germany right when the project in Paris is about to start. Help him Lord to cope with it all and help me to be a good understanding wife. Love you guys! - Us3
