We are now in Paris!

YAY!! We are now in Paris! We made the flight just fine. Business class was so wonderful - we all three had our own seat. The seats were cool - you could lay them down flat to sleep! Alexis did a great job - as soon as we started flying she slept the whole trip - I had to wake her up when we landed! Amazing! Everyone one around was quite impressed! :)

Getting 6 huge luggage bags, 3 carry-ons, personal items, a stroller, and us to our hotel was exciting – we had to split up from Ronnie and take 2 vans. The taxis took 2 different routes and I had no clue how long or where we were going. The drivers did not know English and after I told him I was from the US – he put on some headphone and all communication stopped. Pretty scary – 40 mins later (through some interesting parts of Paris) – I was never so happy to see Ronnie standing outside of the hotel waiting for us!

Aside from me catching some stomach virus from something I ate – health-wise we are ok. Last night trying to get Alexis to sleep was VERY difficult - but after several attempts she was out for 12 hours.

Our apartment is awesome!! We are staying in an ultra modern place - we can see the whole Eiffel Tower and a whole lot of Paris - from our living room - beautiful! It is 2 bedrooms/2 baths - 2 stories, it is the very top of a 31 floor building. Check out the site and the photos show you what ours generally looks like: (http://www.pv-holidays.com/scripts/fiche_produit.php?id_ofr=394&id_sai_passe=2 ) We also have a huge grocery store 5 mins walking from us. The previous tenant of our place was a tennis player from Argentina who played in the French Open - he lost - so he went home and we got his place. I was speaking to him, his wife, and baby - very sweet. We also discovered there are MANY staying here who are playing in the French Open. Interesting hearing all the different languages!

We will post some photos soon as we are still trying to get settled. We love you and thank you again for your prayers! All praises and glory to God! - Da Cooks
